Most grants are awarded from charitable funds for which the donors recommend the nonprofit organization recipients. However, the CAF accepts applications annually by Dec. 1 from local nonprofit organizations for grants from the Clintonville Community Fund. Learn about the grant application process here.
2022 Community Fund Grant recipients
This year we’ve awarded $15,000 in grants to seven charitable organizations serving the Clintonville area. Click here to see the slides show from our Grant Presentation Event. Clintonville Area Food Pantry: $3,000 to ensure pantry users have access to fresh fruit despite rising food costs because fresh fruit is key to foundational nutritional eating.
Clintonville Goodfellows Association: $3,000 to provide winter outerwear and boots during their 2023 holiday distribution event, which serves several hundred individuals and families in need.
Friends of the Clintonville Dog Park: Fiscal Sponsor City of Clintonville: $500 to support the construction of fencing for the Clintonville Dog Park, which Cassidy Rose is putting into place at the Bucholtz Park as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award Project.
The Compassionate Connection Center: $3,000 to cover one month of costs for the Nutrition Mission, a weekend backpack program serving students experiencing food insecurity in the Clintonville School District.
Safe Haven Domestic Abuse Support Center: $2,500 to meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, including shelter expenses, hotels for clients in quarantine or overflow from shelter, crisis line expenses, PPE, cleaning supplies, gas cards and hygiene items.
Community Clothes Closet: $2,000 to help bring the Traveling Clothes Closet to Clintonville six times in 2023 to distribute needed clothing items for free in partnership with The Compassionate Connection Center.
Four Wheel Drive Foundation: $1,000 to purchase metal display stands to improve exhibit signage to assist visitor viewing and learning. This grant was made possible with support from the Clintonville Education Fund.
